I wanted to clean out my china hutch and took a picture of my slowly turning to dust wedding bouquet because I was going to trash it. As I was taking it to the trash Stephen stopped me and asked what I was going to do. When I told him he said no I want it. So I thought I should at least keep some part of it. So I broke off the roses and trashed the rest. When I brought the dried roses back in I tried sticking them in this metal ball I had and it looked really good. So it is still living in my china hutch but with a fresh new look. Thanks Stephen.

Henry had a Lego Ninjago birthday party this year.

We had a Ninja training center that started off with an obstacle course.

One of our games was keep the bad guy balloons away by keeping them in the air with chop sticks. It was all fun and games till two kids got stuck. I should have seen that coming.

Another part was to learn to use chopsticks. I found chopstick helpers that the kids could operate.

This part of the training was to karate chop a graham cracker in half.

This years visit to Santa started off good. The kids got to see a really neat marionette show then they got to get a treat and were waiting very excitedly for Santa. When Santa came Norman went first and got to ask Santa what he wanted for Christmas and Santa let him pick a toy from his sleigh. Then he had all my kids come up for a picture and forgot to ask the others what they wanted and gave the others a toy from his sleigh. Stephen decided he did not want the big doll Santa gave him because it was a girl toy so Santa nicely gave Stephen an elephant but Stephen thought to push the limits and say he did not want an elephant and almost got put on Santa's naughty list. So Stephen said fine, he would take the elephant. Henry got a mouse and ran away in hysterics because he did not want the mouse. Then we tried to do a photo with Megan and she was not having it so we grabbed the kids and left in a hurry for home to have hot cocoa. Boy was that not fun.

Megan was drinking out of my water bottle two weeks ago and fell and knocked her top front tooth back up into her gums, all the way back up. There was blood everywhere and I took her to the dentist because I thought she broke it out and found out it was still all there just back where it started. They said maybe it will come back down on its own and we will wait and see but for now no more pacifier or it could get infected and will have to be pulled. Well I would rather have her have a tooth than a pacifier so we took it away and my perfect little angle baby girl has turned into a tantrumzilla. She will not nap or go to bed without me holding her downstairs in front of the TV. She also throws lovely tantrums all day long because she may still be in pain, has no way to comfort herself because her comfort object has been taken from her and is tired. Poor poor Megan. Here are two pictures of her in tantrum mode and a picture of her missing for now tooth. We sure hope it comes back.

Our Summer Vacation to Philmont Scout Ranch

Our first stop on our trip was the Grand Canyon. Henry is checking to make sure his belly button did not fall in.

We went to Philmont with 20 of Mark's family members. The first day of Philmont Megan scratched her face up really bad going off a slide head first and Norman fell in a spiky bush getting over 40 punctures in his body. Tuesday Megan started throwing up and threw up all night. Wednesday Mark hurt his knee and could not walk without crutches. Thursday Stephen, Mark and I started throwing up. This is when we decided to call it quits and come home a week early and miss the family reunion. Today, 4 days after we get home, Norman and Henry start to throw up so the good new is there is no one left to get sick and hopefully we can get better now. The boys had a blast and we are still glad we went. We had lots of fun with Mark's family there.

I used to love hair bows for Megan but now she will not wear them so my new favorite thing is tutu skirts. My 2 friends each gave me one for her. I only got good photos in one so far. In the last photo I could not get her to look at me. She was too busy making a mess in my kitchen. I love how she holds her purse and walks around. Yes, she is finally walking at 14 months.

I told Norman I thought his hair would be curly like Megan's if is were longer so he tried to grow it out. He refused to let me touch or cut it. If I tried to style it he would mess it up more. In these photos he let me run a comb through it. it was sure fluffy. Today I bribed him with a Slurpee and he let me shave it off. Yeah for Slurpees.

We wanted to plant strawberries last year but our dog likes strawberries more than we do. So we planted a strawberries patch in the front yard. Christine in my ward was getting rid of some plants so we got them from her. This year they are doing great. About every week to every other we get a bowl full of berries. Santa stopped in at his Moreno Valley home for a visit so we went over to say hi. The kids got to sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted. Megan did not seem to mind at all. Then Santa gave them all huge stuffed animals from his sleigh. After we enjoyed some teats some Christmas music and all the lovely Christmas decorations in his home. I think their favorite thing to look at was the train going around the top of the room. Also this year Santa had a big TV for the kids to watch Christmas movies on.

This is what was said about the size of Megan's hair bow on Sunday. Am I going for cute hair bow, no. I am going for ridiculous. I think it has something to do with having my first girl after having 3 boys. It just has to be times 3 with her. If I had her first she would have had no hair bow or one 3 times smaller. Someone did say it was bigger than her head but it clearly is no quite. I have finally found one big enough.

Basketball

My boys did their first team sport, basketball. It was fun for the older two but Henry would rather kick his ball around so we decided to not take him back. Norman was good at it and Stephen was good at trying to distract the other team by spinning around or running at whoever had the ball, on his team or not, with arms flailing. The best part about it is I am now the lucky owner of 3 buttons with my kids pictures on them.

Mark and his friend Steve took their kids backpacking. Mark was brave and took all 3 boys. They had to hike in 2 miles to their camping site. By the end Steve was carrying his daughter and Mark was carrying all 3 boys backpacks. No children where eaten by dingos so I count the trip a success.

Beach Camping

We went camping at the beach this year in a trailer. I do not think that is considered real camping but I liked it. My family goes to San Clemente Beach to camp each year. The boys had a great time and so did Megan. I think she did get sand on her on accident and she never touched the water because her daddy did not think she needed too. This is coming from the guy who wears his sock and shoes down to the beach and does not take them off the whole time.

Scripture Power

At church one of our teachers named Ruth gave a lesson about what will you do with your Summer and using your time for what is important. She also talked about the power of an M&M for kids. So I have been wanting to start scripture reading with the kids so I got a jar and filled it with M&M's and told my kids they get 5 every time we do Scripture Power. Now I do not have to remember to do it because the kids remind me because they want that M&M. I even tried to skip it once but they would not let me.

Hair Bow Board

I finished Megan's hair bow board and hung it up. Now I can see all her bows and pick the one that will match best with her outfit. Maybe I will borrow some since she cannot wear them all at once.

Swim classes have started for my boys. The first day Norman did great, Stephen tried to talk the teacher out of putting his face under the water and Henry cried the whole time. Megan slept the whole time so I could concentrate on being worried about Henry.

Traumatized

Henry smashed most of his tooth out up to his gum line on Memorial Day. The next day he had to have it pulled and that was pretty upsetting to him. Now he cannot eat some food because he is on a soft foods diet and may lose the tooth next to it. I did not think he would care about missing a tooth but he is very upset over it. He wanted me to take this picture so he could see what he looked like. Mark and I told him about his baby teeth and how it will grow back and he said, "it won't grow back, it won't." He has been having a hard time with it so we are trying to give him some extra attention.

I took Megan to her 2 week check up and the doctor said she had a broken collar bone from her birthing experience. They tell me this is common but I do not know anyone who this has happened to. So if one of your kid has gotten a broken collar bone from birth let me know. From all my 3 crazy boys no broken bones and she pops out with one. And just so you know I do still remember I have 3 boys, they just do not wear new little outfits everyday to take pictures of.

Easter was the first time I got to dress up Megan. It was so fun putting a dress on her and little shoes, a bracelet and hair bow. The boys love her so much and like to hold her. They get upset when she cries and like to show her their toys and teach her about them. Easter was fun. We went to both Grandparents houses and saw all the cousins.

April Fools

Megan Ann was born on April Fools Day at 6:52am. She was 8lbs 5oz and 19 in long. I told Mark if she was born on April Fools it was all his fault for joking around so much all the time. Norman thought we were playing a trick on him and kept asking my sister Rachel if we really had the baby.

My mom and sister Rachel came over 2 days last week and helped me get some things done for the baby. When I say helped I mean they did it and I watched. Anyways Rachel made me a car seat cover that matches my car seat and I love the big fat bows on it. They both made me burp rags. Rachel made hair bows with me. We made 34 and that does not include all the ones I have been given. My mom finished an apron for me that I started 3 years ago and did lots of other things around my house that needed doing. It was really nice. Mark also finished the babies room and we got the crib all put together today. I am so ready to have this baby already.

At my house this is bedtime. After the kids have been bathed, dressed, brushed and flossed they all get tucked in. Norman in his top bunk, Stephen in the bottom bunk, Henry in the toddler bed with Power Ranger costume on, boots on and sward in hand, and Cheyenne in her bed. Then Daddy reads Harry Potter to top it off. This is the first night Mommy will not attend so we can break Henry of having me sit by his bed till he falls asleep.

Baby Girl's Room

The room is not yet done because I am waiting on Mark to put up the chair rail between the white paint and pink paint. When that is done I can put up the crib and put on the bedding. I made almost everything or recovered it. The dresser knobs went from blue to pink. The diaper basket that was blue got recovered and the Peter Rabbit lamp got recovered too. I decorated the 4 frames that will hand above the crib and the 3 flower decorations that go above the window. I love the decals in the corner of the door too. My sister gave me the idea to stripe the walls. I love to just sit in there and stair at it all. I am so excited for a girl.

A visit to the Real Santa

We got to see the Real Santa tonight. He was in the Gateway and Disneyland Commercial. Usually they take the picture in the sleigh but it was really cold and rainy. They took the picture in Santa's big red chair and he had a pile of toys to hand out to the kids. I only got Henry to go see him because I told him Santa would not bring him anything if he did not.

Day Out With Thomas

For those of you who know Stephen you know he loves Thomas the train. We surprised him this year by taking him to Day Out With Thomas. He was very happy when we got there and he figured out what was going on. He could hear Thomas' whistle blow. He was so happy he even gave me a good smile for a picture. We got him a poster to remember the day and he asks almost everyday if we can go back. He was very interested in how Thomas got from the Island of Sodor to our planet as he called it. He had lots of questions.

Awards Assembly

Norman had an awards assembly where he got the Principal's Award for outstanding achievement and citizenship and he got the People Respecting Others award. During Norman's parent teacher conference his teacher told Mark that Norman is the only student that will play with the disabled kids. That warmed my heart to hear. During Norman's assembly Henry got a pretzel caught in his throat and choked and threw up. I was so happy that I was able to catch it all in the zip lock the pretzels were in with no mess. It was a very successful assembly.

Halloween is a magical time when you can be whatever your imagination can think up. Our van became a monster with sharp blood thirsty teeth, thanks to my mom. Mark turned into Dr. McSteamy, I was a wicked witch, Norman was Optimus Prime, Stephen was Superman, Henry was Bakugan Master Dan and Cheyenne was a dog. Really she has no imagination.

Today Henry comes running over to me very upset because he has got his head stuck in a DVD case. How did he do that? I start laughing and think, should I get the camera or pull it off? Mark says get the camera so I go to take the picture and he runs at me angry and swats the camera from my hands. I was laughing so hard. I am glad I got a shot because this picture is so funny.

Daddy to the rescue

On our way home from Grandma's house I hear Stephen's favorite line, "a little help here". I ask him what is wrong and he said he got his finger stuck. We get home and I go in the house and wonder why Stephen is not coming in. When I go to check on him he is sitting patiently with his finger stuck in his booster seat. We try to pull it out but cannot and he tells me we need to put oil on it to get it out. I bring out lotion and that does nothing so we bring him and the seat in the house and pour oil on it and nothing. We also tried to ice the finger to make is shrink because we are getting desperate. I tell Mark he is going to have to cut him out so be brings in wire cutters. Stephen is very worried we are going to cut his finger off. He keeps telling us to not cut it off. After 45 minutes of cutting we get his finger out in one piece. As for the booster seat it went out with the trash. Good job daddy.

Halloween party with my mom

We got to go to my moms wards Halloween party. Norman was Optimus Prime, Stephen was Superman, and Henry was Bakugan Master Dan. The first picture is my mom and Henry passing out candy in front of our monster van, the next one is Norman and Stephen sitting in the car eating their candy telling me they want to go home. The last one is Henry putting his Bakugans in his pocket.

We have been sick.

Someone in my family has been sick for the last 6 weeks. It just keeps going from one to the next and then back again. Right now we are working on getting Mark all better and then maybe we can take a few weeks off and be healthy.

Mark's baby has arrived

If you did not know Mark was expecting, well he was. Redline is 22.8lbs and 24 inches. His baby has arrived after months of waiting. He has been calling me all day asking if his baby is here yet. We had to move Henry out of his bed but I think we will have to get it a bigger one anyways so Henry, stop crying, you can have your bed back.

Go Norman Go!

On Friday Norman had an assembly where he was named Student of the Month for October. He will get to go to lunch with the principal. He is the one in the red shirt.

On Friday Norman also got his big trophy to show he moves up to intermediate. He had to get 8 first places to advance. He was very happy and took the trophy to school today to show. I am very nervous it will get broken and I will have a very sad child on my hands.

Stephen got really tired at the beach. We tried to wake him and he was sleeping so violently sitting up we finaly layed him down. Mark woke him up by sticking a red vine in his mouth and while sleeping he starts to eat it and then wakes up by the time he is done.

No Espanol

My kids now love watching the Spanish PBS station. They found it one day and prefer it over English cartoons. They get mad when I try to change the station when the cartoons are over and the other shows start. It gives me a headache and drives me craze because I do not understand it. They ask me questions and I say, "I don't know I don't speak Spanish". Stephen likes to play Thomas on the Internet and now he wants to play it in Spanish so he does. One morning Stephen go in my bed and Norman was trying to get him downstairs and Stephen said he was too tired. Norman said, "Let's go put on Spanish cartoons" and Stephen said ,"Okay" and jumped out of bed. Maybe one day they will start speaking Spanish.

Girls Night

I went to a girls night at my friend Jennifer's house and when I got there my ribbon box fell out of my car and opened up and my ribbon started falling down the storm drain I was parked next to. I went in and told my friend and her husband over heard and said he would get it. He was in his nice work clothes and he opened up the man hole on the sidewalk and climbed down and saved my ribbon. What a hero, thank you Steve.

Christmas in August

We had Christmas in August with our Ward. The boys got to sit on Santa's lap and got to get a token good for one ice cream. When the ice cream truck came they all got the biggest popsicle they had. After they played with water balloons and water guns.
